Our parish assists in the “Sandwiches for the Drop in Centre”. Basically this means that people can make sandwiches as outlined below, and bring them to the church on particular Sundays (see bulletins for which ones). These sandwiches are given to people who need lunches while working and who stay at the shelter. If you would be willing to help provide sandwiches on the specified Sundays please follow the instructions below.
One loaf of bread ( white or whole wheat)
Cooked ham slices
One loaf of bread makes 8 to 10 sandwiches.
Remove bread from wrapper and butter an even number of slices.
Place on one side a slice of ham, one slice of processed cheese and spread a small amount of mustard.
Do not cut in half.
Stack sandwiches and slide back in the original wrapper.
Sandwiches that are made before the 10:30 mass on the 3rd Sunday can be frozen
and any that are brought at the 10:30 mass can be refrigerated.
