The 7th Annual “BACK PACK PROJECT” hosted by our St. Stephens Choir will take place on Wednesday December 11th at 7:00 PM. This years program highlites Myles Himmerleich (who was once homeless) as the motivational speaker. Inn From The Cold volunteers are invited to come and experience homelessness through Myles experience. If you are attending please let Ambrose Comchi know at awc [at] shaw [dot] ca, bring some goodies and BYOB. If you wish to bring a backpack we need it in adult size and here are suggestions of what you can put inside:
There is often a need for several booster seats for small children at the dinner table. These seats can be used ones. Finally, if someone no longer has a need for a playpen, then we can make use of it as a bed for a small child. We have several used playpens that were donated, but occasionally we get 4 to 5 babies that need something to sleep in if the mothers do not want the children sleeping with them. Sheets and blankets for the playpen would also help.
